This page explains how to request deletion of your OurShield account and data. OurShield is published by Rostan Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
1. How to request deletion
- On the web: sign in, go to Settings → Account & data (DPDP export) (/settings/account), open Delete your account, and select Request deletion, then confirm with your password.
- In the OurShield app: open Settings → Data & privacy rights, select Delete your account, and confirm with your password.
- By email: send a request from your registered email address to privacy@ourshieldai.com. If you do not hear back or want to escalate, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@ourshieldai.com.
2. What gets deleted, and when
Your account is deactivated immediately — you are signed out and can’t sign back in. You have a 30-day grace period to change your mind (contact us at the addresses above to cancel). After 30 days, deletion is permanent and removes:
- Your parent profile and login credentials.
- Every child profile on the account, and their devices, policies, app limits, and schedules.
- Collected activity data: DNS/app activity, location and driving history, installed-app and screen-time records, SIM-swap and device-admin/tamper events, and AI content-safety alerts.
- Billing and invoice records tied to your account.
We keep a minimal internal compliance record that a deletion occurred (no content), per the retention windows in our Privacy Policy and DPDP Disclosure.
3. Deleting one child instead of the whole account
You can remove a single child’s profile without deleting your whole account, from the same Settings → Account & data area. That child’s devices and all of their collected data (location, activity, driving, tamper, SIM-swap and app records) are deleted after the same 30-day grace period; your account and any other children are unaffected.
