What it looks like
- A message says your bank account, SIM or card will be blocked today unless you update KYC.
- It has a link, or a file ending in .apk, to download an app.
- The app asks for permission to read your messages and the screen.
What to do
- Do not tap the link or install the file. Real banks do not send apps by message.
- Open your bank's own app or visit the branch to check your KYC.
- Delete the message after you report it on Chakshu (Sanchar Saathi).
If you already did it
If you installed the file or shared details, call 1930 at once and tell your bank. Then uninstall the app, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. Do not delete the original message, it is evidence.
Remember: A bank never sends an app file by message to update your KYC.
For children
A message that says an app must be installed right now is a trick. Do not install it. Tell a grown-up.

यह कैसा दिखता है
- मैसेज कहता है कि KYC अपडेट नहीं किया तो आपका बैंक खाता, सिम या कार्ड आज ही बंद हो जाएगा।
- उसमें लिंक होता है या .apk वाली फ़ाइल, जिससे ऐप डाउनलोड करना होता है।
- ऐप आपके मैसेज और स्क्रीन देखने की इजाज़त माँगता है।
क्या करें
- लिंक न दबाएँ और फ़ाइल इंस्टॉल न करें। असली बैंक मैसेज में ऐप नहीं भेजते।
- KYC जाँचने के लिए बैंक का अपना ऐप खोलें या शाखा में जाएँ।
- चक्षु (संचार साथी) पर रिपोर्ट करने के बाद मैसेज डिलीट करें।
अगर आप ऐसा कर चुके हैं
अगर फ़ाइल इंस्टॉल कर ली या जानकारी दे दी, तो तुरंत 1930 पर कॉल करें और बैंक को बताएँ। फिर ऐप हटा दें और cybercrime.gov.in पर शिकायत करें। पहला मैसेज डिलीट न करें, वह सबूत है।
याद रखें: बैंक KYC अपडेट के लिए मैसेज में कभी ऐप फ़ाइल नहीं भेजता।
बच्चों के लिए
जो मैसेज कहे कि अभी कोई ऐप इंस्टॉल करो, वह चालाकी है। उसे इंस्टॉल मत करो। किसी बड़े को बताओ।
