What it looks like
- An instant loan app asks for access to your contacts and photos, and gives money with a very short deadline.
- When you are late, or even before, they call and message you and your contacts with threats.
- They say they will send your edited or morphed photos to your family and friends.
What to do
- Do not pay extra money to stop the threats. Threats and shaming are harassment.
- Save screenshots, numbers and the app name. Then uninstall the app and remove its permissions.
- Tell someone you trust, and report at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
If you already did it
If money has moved, call 1930 at once and tell your bank. Do not delete the threats, numbers or screenshots, they are evidence. Tell your family yourself before the loan app does. Then report at cybercrime.gov.in.
Remember: A lawful lender never threatens you or sends your photos to other people.
For children
If an app asks for your contacts and photos and then scares you, you are not in trouble. Stop using it. Tell a grown-up.

- इंस्टेंट लोन ऐप आपके कॉन्टैक्ट और फ़ोटो की इजाज़त माँगता है और बहुत कम समय के लिए पैसे देता है।
- देर होने पर, या उससे पहले भी, वे आपको और आपके कॉन्टैक्ट को फ़ोन और मैसेज करके धमकाते हैं।
- वे कहते हैं कि आपकी एडिट की हुई या मॉर्फ़ फ़ोटो घरवालों और दोस्तों को भेज देंगे।
क्या करें
- धमकियाँ रुकवाने के लिए अतिरिक्त पैसे न दें। धमकाना और बदनाम करना उत्पीड़न है।
- स्क्रीनशॉट, नंबर और ऐप का नाम सेव करें। फिर ऐप हटाएँ और उसकी परमिशन बंद करें।
- किसी भरोसेमंद को बताएँ, और cybercrime.gov.in पर शिकायत करें या 1930 पर कॉल करें।
अगर आप ऐसा कर चुके हैं
अगर पैसे कट गए हैं, तो तुरंत 1930 पर कॉल करें और बैंक को बताएँ। धमकियाँ, नंबर और स्क्रीनशॉट डिलीट न करें, ये सबूत हैं। लोन ऐप से पहले आप खुद घरवालों को बता दें। फिर cybercrime.gov.in पर शिकायत करें।
याद रखें: कानूनी तरीके से चलने वाला कर्ज़दाता आपको धमकाता नहीं और आपकी फ़ोटो दूसरों को नहीं भेजता।
बच्चों के लिए
अगर कोई ऐप तुम्हारे कॉन्टैक्ट और फ़ोटो माँगे और फिर डराए, तो तुम मुसीबत में नहीं हो। उसे इस्तेमाल करना बंद करो। किसी बड़े को बताओ।
