Task and part-time job scam

What it looks like

• A message offers easy money for liking videos, writing reviews or doing small online tasks, often through a Telegram or WhatsApp group.
• The first small tasks pay a little, to build trust. Then you are asked to put in your own money to unlock the next task.
• Your earnings are 'stuck' until you pay a fee, tax or deposit.

What to do

1. Do not pay to unlock a task or to take out earnings.
2. Stop chatting with the group. Do not add more money to 'get back' what you already put in.
3. Report the group or number inside the app and on Chakshu (Sanchar Saathi).

If you already did it

If money has moved, call 1930 at once and tell your bank. Do not delete the messages, numbers or screenshots, they are evidence. Then report at cybercrime.gov.in.

For children

Easy money for likes and tasks is a trick. Do not join and do not pay. Tell a grown-up.

यह कैसा दिखता है

• मैसेज वीडियो लाइक करने, रिव्यू लिखने या छोटे ऑनलाइन टास्क करने पर आसान कमाई बताता है, अक्सर टेलीग्राम या व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप से।
• शुरू के छोटे टास्क पर थोड़े पैसे मिलते हैं, ताकि भरोसा बने। फिर अगला टास्क खोलने के लिए अपने पैसे लगाने को कहा जाता है।
• आपकी कमाई तब तक 'अटकी' रहती है जब तक आप फ़ीस, टैक्स या डिपॉज़िट नहीं देते।

क्या करें

1. टास्क खोलने या कमाई निकालने के लिए पैसे न दें।
2. ग्रुप से बात करना बंद करें। जो पैसे लगा चुके हैं उन्हें 'वापस पाने' के लिए और पैसे न डालें।
3. ग्रुप या नंबर की रिपोर्ट ऐप में और चक्षु (संचार साथी) पर करें।

अगर आप ऐसा कर चुके हैं

अगर पैसे कट गए हैं, तो तुरंत 1930 पर कॉल करें और अपने बैंक को बताएँ। मैसेज, नंबर और स्क्रीनशॉट डिलीट न करें, ये सबूत हैं। फिर cybercrime.gov.in पर शिकायत करें।

बच्चों के लिए

लाइक और टास्क पर आसान पैसे एक चालाकी है। ग्रुप में मत जुड़ो और पैसे मत दो। किसी बड़े को बताओ।
